Gochujang Carbonara Crave-worthy Fusion To Make Taste Buds Happy

Have you heard of Gochujang Carbonara? It is the first I am hearing of it! Wait, you too? Ok, Here is the video recipe!

While scrolling, I came across a TikTok video that caught my attention. The video was cinematic-styled with classical music playing in the background. The colour grading was so vivid that it could make any food lover salivate.

What is Gochujang Carbonara?

Gochujang Carbonara is a unique twist on the classic Italian pasta dish.

Gochujang is a spicy and savoury Korean condiment made from fermented soybeans, chilli peppers, and rice. It is often used as a marinade or sauce for dishes like bulgogi, bibimbap, and Tteokbokki. Carbonara, on the other hand, is a classic Italian pasta dish made with spaghetti, guanciale, eggs, and Pecorino Romano cheese. The sauce is created by whisking together raw eggs and grated cheese, which then cooks as it is tossed with the hot pasta and crispy guanciale. It’s a creamy and comforting dish that is perfect for a cozy night in.

For the recipe, the Tiktoker use bacon instead of guanciale, udon noodle instead of spaghetti, and Parmesan cheese.

Let me describe the Gochujang Pasta Dish to you

This dish features a bold and savoury flavour from the spicy Korean chilli paste. The addition of pancetta or bacon provides a complementary salty and meaty taste to the gochujang, while garlic adds a subtle yet noticeable kick. The dish also has a healthy kick from the gochujang. The creamy sauce made with egg and Parmesan cheese brings all the ingredients together for a satisfying meal. Perfect for those who love spicy and savoury flavours and want to try a new take on a classic dish.
